I. Standing and Ad Hoc Committees
Following are the standing committees of the Board of Trustees:
- Facilities Committee
- Finance Committee
- Policy and Student Success Committee
The Board of Trustees may establish other standing and ad hoc committees as it may deem necessary.
II. Committee Appointment
The Board President shall appoint the members of all Board Committees. No more than three members of the Board of Trustees shall be appointed to any committee, to prevent any possible violation of the Wyoming Open Meeting Law.
III. Referral of Matter to Committee
If a matter brought before a regular or special meeting of the Board of Trustees requires in-depth analysis or is of inordinate complexity, the matter may be referred to a standing or ad hoc Board Committee in the following manner:
Any Member of the Board may make a motion to refer the matter to a Board Committee. The motion to refer to a Board Committee must be seconded and requires a majority vote of the Board. The motion to refer a matter to a Board Committee shall specify the name of the Board Committee with a brief description of the matter to be reviewed and analyzed by the Board Committee.
IV. Recommendation of Committee
All Board Committee proposals shall be reported as recommendations to the Board for consideration by the Board at a regular meeting. Reports from the Board Committee meetings should also be presented to the Board of Trustees.
